BVB-ISTE
- An assignment event conducted on 2nd & 8th September 2012, under the guidance of Prof. Rohini Hongal, for 3rd semester E&C students on Microcap tool involved simulating a total of 45 different problems on clippers, clampers, BJT circuits, MOSFET circuits, Boolean expressions and network analysis problems.
- The objective behind organizing this event is to make students well acquainted with microcap simulation tool and also prepare them to work on problems correctly in a less time that helps them to compete easily in engineering fests in events involving simulating problems using microcap simulation tool.
- The event was completely “For the students and by the students”.
- Students worked individually and also in a team of 2.
- Around 5 volunteers of 5th semester monitored the session and guided the students in overcoming their difficulties in solving problems.
- Volunteers had good experience in guiding immediate juniors and also it helped in brushing up their knowledge regarding usage of microcap simulation tool. Over all it was an interactive and knowledge gaining session for all the students involved in this event.
- Over all feedback received by the organizing team from learners is that, “The questions chosen were helpful for learners in analyzing and solving difficulties which they faced earlier. They felt session informative and useful that helped them to get familiar with the use of microcap simulation tool and also it was a good attempt to help and coordinate with them (juniors)”.

Micro-cap Simulation Demo Workshop

SCILAB WORKSHOP
Scilab is a open source software that is helpful for engineering students to realize & analyse real time problems regarding circuit analysis, fluid mechanics etc before actual implementation. It was conducted by 7th semester E&C students under the guidance of Dr. Satish Annigeri. Workshop highlighted the importance & essence of scilab tool in modeling real time problems. Topics discussed were Scilab (open source), Basics of scilab and Solving of numerical problems. Students learnt operating scilab tool & solved various numerical examples involving matrix operations etc. Workshop was very Informative, knowledgeable, useful and Interactive.
Targeted branches: Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation & Civil.
